With Luques Curtis, Igmar Thomas and Rudy Royston at SF Jazz - photo by Scott Chernis
We started our tour last week, and I can’t tell you how awesome it feels to have some of the most amazing musicians on the planet playing live and all collaborating on my tunes! (I’m still recovering from our version of Happily Go Luckily from the second set at SFJazz!)
Igmar Thomas is an absolutely miraculous player! We all know Rudy is a master and Luques has found his own beautiful voice on bass. If you can come out to any of our shows PLEASE do! (There are still some seats available). Please share our dates with your friends too.
I also feel incredibly fortunate to be touring during International Women's History month too, and to play part of change in our industry. Did you know the first composer on record was…. a nun?
You deserve a night out without any election talk, so come on out and enjoy yourself!
I also wanted to take a moment and thank jazz radio for your support - we really appreciate it very much! It's great to be #7 on the JazzWeek chart!
Take care,
Lisa
