Well it looks like we might have an early spring in in SoCal - the fruit trees are blooming and the sunshine is making its presence known, although it’s still a bit cool too. Sunshine feels good for us: it feels hopeful and regenerative and of course, it’s a mood booster, that is appreciated after all the fires we have experienced lately. I know there is still a lot of bad weather out there, but spring is on its way and it felt wonderful to brave the traffic and enjoy all the art at Frieze Art Fair in Los Angeles recently.
I wanted to just take a moment to thank ALL the radio stations and streaming platforms playing our new album, LUCKY ALL ALONG. We realize there are a lot of new albums out right now! Through the years we’ve always had so much support and it warms my heart every time. I know we might have an easier time if we played only arrangements of other composers works, but you know I love to compose and I feel it’s important to be creating new work in jazz for this generation. We are always thrilled at the positive world wide response we get annually. I also wanted to to say how thankful we are to be #1 Amazon New Release!
While I mentioning jazz radio, I also wanted to wish a hearty HAPPY BIRTHDAY to KCSM - 60 years! What a nice article I read about you!
