Happy almost summer!
The photo is from Chicago and was taken by the great team at iRockJazz.com. If you haven’t checked them out yet – you should. It’s really cool what they are doing on that site!
Well it feels like summer here, and I’m happy about that. Had terrific weather in San Francisco, and a fun time playing at the new Union Room there. It was great to meet new fans, old friends and family too. Then I spent the next day walking ALL over the sunny day city, and went to the SF Art Market which I really enjoyed, and then caught the Venice Art Walk in Los Angeles when I returned. Music AND art – a treat for me.
Our new release “American Impressions” is doing terrific at radio around the world right now. We are very very thankful for the immense support we have received. #11 last week on the CMJ chart, and #5 on the ZMR international chart show the wonderful support we have received. Bubba Jackson at KKJZ says “It keeps me smiling.” Dot Nielson at WCNI says, “It’s a WINNER!!!!!” as does Jonathan Cohen at KAMP. Hugh Carson at KVNF writes, “Lisa Hilton captures ‘American Landscapes’ of feeling, sound, sight and touch in such an incredibly straight-ahead and beautiful way. Brilliant.” J.D. Allen, Larry Grenadier, Nasheet Waits and myself are all very grateful for the wonderful reviews and support. Please check it out if you haven’t already! You can also enter to win a free CD at AllAboutJazz.com too!
Hope you have a great upcoming Holiday weekend and a strong start to summer!
